Field Trips

Excursions outside of the school are tied directly to the curriculum and used to enhance the material and bring relevance to student learning in the classroom. Day trips take advantage of Ottawa’s rich resources of galleries, theatre and music performances, museums, the Experimental Farm near the school, the National Arts Centre, the Parliament Buildings, as well as outdoor learning sites.

In Grades 4 to 8, students also have an overnight trip once a year:

• Grade 4: Zoo Ecomuseum, Ste. Anne de Bellevue, QC
• Grade 5: Camp Iawah, Wolfe Lake, Westport, ON
• Grade 6: Gananoque and Kingston, ON
• Grade 7: Quebec City, QC
• Grade 8: Montreal, QC
