Helping students master the habits of successful learning.

About the program

The Study Skills program helps students develop practical strategies for learning, test preparation, organization, and self-management. From Grades 5 to 8, students build essential habits that support academic success across all subjects while preparing them for high school and lifelong learning.

What students will learn

Grade 5

  • Set goals and create effective study environments.
  • Manage time efficiently and organize materials.
  • Take study notes and review effectively for tests.
  • Discuss test taking strategies.

Grade 6

  • Apply study strategies and goal-setting techniques in daily lessons.
  • Organize digital tools, materials, and supplies.
  • Highlight and take notes strategically.
  • Integrate study skills into Science, Social Studies, and other subjects.

Grade 7

  • Strengthen independent learning and organizational abilities.
  • Explore advanced study techniques for all subjects.
  • Foster critical thinking and self-directed learning.

Grade 8

  • Master test-taking strategies to reduce anxiety and build confidence.
  • Refine organization, note-taking, and study habits.
  • Prepare for academic challenges in high school and beyond.
