“When we first began touring schools for our eldest, who was entering Grade 1, we were looking for a place with strong academics and athletics. Turnbull School immediately impressed us with its excellent facilities, impressive gym, and emphasis on academic excellence. From day one, we knew our children were in very capable hands. Over time, the teachers became part of our family, and we are grateful to still be in touch with some of them today.

Turnbull gave our children the freedom and encouragement to discover what they loved. They were given endless opportunities in academics, athletics, music, and the arts. They had the chance to try many sports, be part of multiple teams, and experience the excitement of tournaments. They were also able to participate in chess tournaments, science fairs, including regional competitions, and so much more.

Academically, Turnbull prepared our children exceptionally well for high school. They entered with confidence, discipline, and exam experience. Turnbull also has an outstanding music program. Both of our children were members of the Concert Band and made unforgettable memories traveling to Niagara Falls and Toronto for Nationals. Our youngest had a keen interest in art, which she was able to pursue through art contests and by designing posters for school plays.

Our children made lifelong friends at Turnbull, and so did we. Looking back, we know that choosing Turnbull School was one of the best decisions we made for our family, and we will always hold this community close to our hearts.”

“My years at Turnbull School showed me that it truly is a place to grow, just like its motto. I found that I was able to go from being a very shy, introverted child to becoming a much more confident and outgoing person.

Turnbull helped me overcome my shyness by fostering my love for sports. I participated in almost every sport and absolutely loved it. Some of my favourite memories were the basketball tournaments in Stanstead and Montreal! Another thing I loved being part of was the band. It was a great experience, and we had the chance to compete in Musicfest and Nationals in Toronto and Niagara Falls.

Turnbull also prepared me well for high school by providing special academic opportunities, such as math competitions and regional science fairs. Another awesome experience I had was participating in art contests, where I was able to help design two posters for our school plays.

Turnbull School was like a family to me, and I truly miss the teachers and the community there. At Turnbull, I felt at home and made lifelong friends.”
